Rankin Appointed to Serve on the Taxation Section Council.
Iowa state Bar Association President, Bob Waterman, has appointed Lee M. Rankin to serve on the 2011-2012 Taxation Section Council. The Taxation Section Council is an organization in which members who have an interest in taxation can meet for discussion and exchange of ideas. The section then makes recommendations and present programs regarding the recommendations, subject to the approval of the Board of Governors.
Mr. Rankin has been a partner with Willson & Pechacek P.L.C. since January 2010 and is licensed to practice in Iowa and Nebraska. He is also a member of the Iowa State Bar Association Probate and Trust Law and a section member of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers and its Taxation section.

Frank W. Pechacek, Jr. senior partner of Willson & Pechacek, P.L.C., has been invited to serve as a member of the Iowa State Bar Association Business Law Section Council for the 2011-2012 year. Mr. Pechacek served as Chairman of the Council from 2000-2002. In 2005, he was named the Editor in Chief of the ISBA Business Law Practice Manual.
Mr. Pechacek practices in the areas of business law, corporations, limited liability companies and estate planning. He is a Board Member of the American Red Cross - Loess Hills Chapter and Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation, Inc.

Frank W. Pechacek, Jr., senior partner of Willson & Pechacek, P.L.C., spoke at the 31st Annual Agricultural Law Symposium of the American Agricultural Law Association held in Omaha, NE. Frank's topic was Federal Crop Insurance: Representing Insurance Companies. Frank was part of a panel that spoke about crop insurance issues.
Mr. Pechacek serves on the Board of Directors of Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation, Inc. and is Chair of the Loess Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mr. Pechacek is a frequent lecturer and speaker on topics such as estate planning and corporate/business law matters.

Brett Ryan, a partner at Willson & Pechacek, P.L.C., spoke at the Iowa State Association of Assessors Fall Conference/School in Des Moines, Iowa on October 5, 2010. Approximately 100 County Assessors, County Attorneys, and County Board of Review members attended the course, which focused on the intricacies of property tax valuation and exemption issues.
Mr. Ryan is a member of the Iowa, Nebraska and American Bar Associations. In 2010, he received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. The AV rating is the highest rating awarded to lawyers and is an indicator that peers in the legal field believe him to possess high ethical and professional abilities.

Lee received his BSBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in accounting in 1998, and his Nebraska license as a Certified Public Accountant in 2001. He received his J.D. in 2005, from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Lee is licensed to practice in Iowa (2005) and Nebraska (2006), and practices primarily in the areas of corporate law, taxation, and estate planning. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, Pottawattamie County Bar Association and Nebraska Bar Association.

He received his Certified Public Accountant License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2009.
